A little bit about MOEMI

I'm originally from Japan and have lived in the Heart of England for nearly 20 years. Before becoming a qualified tourist guide, I worked as a translator and interpreter, often taking clients on local tours. This experience sparked my passion for guiding. I enjoy sharing unique aspects of the area that aren't always in guidebooks.
Many tourists often participate in tours that visit well-known sightseeing spots, but there are many wonderful places in an area called the Heart of England that are not included in such tours. You can encounter fascinating aspects of England's history at castle ruins and monastery sites tucked away in unexpected places. The numerous gardens are also one of the attractions, and the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, which England is proud of, is also located in the Heart of England. In addition to these historical and cultural treasures, the Heart of England offers picturesque villages, rolling hills, and serene landscapes that provide a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The region is also home to charming market towns, where you can experience authentic English hospitality, local cuisine, and traditional crafts. With its rich history, stunning natural beauty, and warm local charm, the Heart of England is a destination that promises an unforgettable and truly immersive travel experience. While places like the Cotswolds, Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon, and Oxford are, of course, famous, the Heart of England invites you to explore even more of its hidden gems, where the beauty of the English countryside and its storied past come alive in ways that are both timeless and unique.

Personal Interests

My interests include cooking, arts and crafts, and history. I'm a keen foodie who enjoys exploring local cuisine and farm shops. Living in the former Glass Quarter, I'm fascinated by the glass industry and the history of the Black Country. I also love stained glass, Pre-Raphaelite art, and pottery.
