My home City is Birmingham & I love sharing my knowledge of this vibrant & ever changing City, with its modern architecture, all waiting to be discovered.
I have an interest in the Arts & Crafts, especially silverware & jewellery & I take pleasure in sharing my knowledge with visitors especially in Birmingham but also within The Cotswolds, both areas famous for their links with the decorative arts.
I have a particular interest in the Regency period & I enjoy presenting tours around the decadent, artistic Regency town of Cheltenham Spa.
My interest in Music has led me me to develop specialised tours with a music theme |& having grown up in Worcestershire, I'm able to offer Edward Elgar tours in Worcester & Brian Jones tours in his home town of Cheltenham.
One of my other interests is Literature & I offer tours with a Literary theme especially in Oxford with a focus on Lewis Carroll, C S Lewis & J R R Tolkien. I'm a great lover of 'The Bard' & his life, times & works, & I enjoy leading tours in Stratford upon Avon & surrounding area with a distinctive Shakespeare theme.
I have developed an interest in Gardens; I've recently enjoyed leading Garden tours especially within The Cotswolds.
My other interests include Folklore especially within Gloucestershire & Herefordshire. There are so many tales to be told.
Oh, & not forgetting my passion for the Food & Drink of the region which is a rich nature's harvest of delights, from the plum orchards of the Vale of Evesham to the apple orchards of the cider makers of Herefordshire. Tours may be tailormade around visits to various food & drink outlets
